An old Vietnam vet with a bleak outlook on life and a generally unpleasant personality becomes the babysitter of his new next-door neighbor’s son. To everyone’s surprise, as unexpected friendship forms as he becomes a mentor to the young boy. Somehow they both manage to find the best in each other and show their community what it means to love one’s neighbor. Due to the terms of our movie license, we cannot publish the title of the movie, but it came out in 2014, is rated PG-13, and is one hour and forty-two minutes long.
note from Leia: I will grant that this film has a somewhat adult premise and an opening sequence that I will be summarizing rather than showing, but I promise that it’s a very worthwhile film that I look forward to talking about with you afterwards.
