First Fridays movie and potluck pick for September:
The Ten Commandments, part I (1956)
Friday, September 7 at 7:00 pm
Cecil B. DeMille’s classic Biblical epic pits Charlton Heston (Moses) against Yul Brynner (Ramesses II) in a sweeping production filmed in Egypt that was, at the time, the most expensive movie ever made. The first part of the film begins with baby Moses (played by Charlton Heston’s actual son) being adopted by an Egyptian princess and concludes with the scene of the burning bush.
We will gather for dinner at 7:00 pm and start the film at 7:15 pm.
Bring a friend and a dish to share!
The first part of the film is two hours and fifteen minutes and rated G.
