“Prophets, in an Ever-Flowing Stream” (Amos 5:8-15, 21-24)
As we remember the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we remember how prophets like him have challenged us for thousands of years. Prophets make us uncomfortable and it would be easier to reduce the words of prophets to poetry, but we need to listen to them and accept that there are big changes that we need to make to our societies and to our world.

“God Spoke and God Still Speaks” (Genesis 1:1-5)
As we remember when John baptized Jesus in the Jordan and God's voice rang out over the waters to name Jesus as God's beloved Son, we remember when, at the very beginning, God's voice rang out over the waters in a love song that brought all of creation into being.

With Epiphany, we conclude the Christmas season and our worship series called “Those Who Dream.” We reflect on the stars that we follow for guidance, and the faith that gives us the strength to keep going, even when we find ourselves traveling home by another, harder, way.
